CLEAN WATER
Protecting clean water is at the heart of Miami Waterkeeper’s work. We monitor waterways, report pollution, and drive policies that keep our waters healthy.
Clean water sustains South Florida’s environment, economy, and communities. Biscayne Bay alone contributes $64 billion annually to Miami-Dade County through tourism, recreation, and commercial activity.
SEE WATER QUALITY DATAFrom the Bay to local canals, we track pollution, highlight threats, and empower residents with timely water quality information.
Our Water Quality Monitoring Program collects weekly data from beaches, canals, and waterways, providing insights into fecal indicator bacteria. These results inform campaigns, advocacy, and community outreach.
Through policy work, we push for stronger pollution regulations, smarter stormwater management, and accountability for polluters. Legal action and public engagement amplify these efforts, ensuring clean water continues to support Miami-Dade’s economy, wildlife, and communities.
